My Reaction to the Tumblr Immigration

Posted by TonyAMO - December 5th, 2018

Ever since all these Tumblr artists have decides to jump ship and join the club here at Newgrounds, I have sensed a glimmer of something big here, like a new resurgence big where I'm going to be right smack dab in the middle of it, watching it happen. To be frank, I am really excited about this newfound recognition this site is garnering. Something that I have longed to experienced ever since my first days here over a year ago.

Quick tangent: It's already been a year since I've joined Newgrounds! HOLY JEEBS! And already I am a big fan of the site even though I'm practically a young adult and just finding this spectacular website with no clue that it was the greatest site I could ever find! Ain't that the darndest thing?!

However, I do have some doubts about this. I was kinda hoping to see some new artists who will try or return to try their hands at grounded animation, instead of just posting an influx of tempting but collectively unnecessary pornography. But I can't control others decisions. Although, the community can implicitly...

From my experience of one total year, I can tell this site values interaction. I am hoping to see some collaborations with illustrators, animators, game developers, musicians and more so that we all can sense the intertwining talents between amateur and expert that are exponentially increasing in value as a result of reaching out, being introduced, sharing experiences, and making new memories in the server, as well as making some static to attract even more passerby art and game lovers.

Best of luck,

TonyAMO

P.S. God bless the internet for finally coming into my life again and showing me the opportunity to have fun and learn how to branch out at the same time.
